I know I'm always looking for what other bike equipment fits my XS, from brakes to swingarms to wheels--and that stuff always seems to be in question. For example, in the Brakes board, put a sticky at the top that says "Adaptable braking systems from other bikes" and either compile a list of links to other threads, or just list which calipers can be bolted (with or without spacers) to stock forks, GSXR forks, etc. Maybe even going so far as lite how-tos. On Frames, have a sticky about which swingarms or forks fit and mods needed to make them work. Or, you can just have another board with subboards for the same thing. There's a ton of information on this site, which is great, but you really need to go digging for this stuff; it would be great to consolidate it.

Good idea Mat. Also it would be great if someone wrote a book on motorcycle parts interchangability (or maybe they have but I sure dont know about it). The automobile junk yards all have books on what fits what. We need a central place for all that info so we can go and look it up with just the click of a mouse...................BG

I'll start archiving threads and go from there. Naturally, everyone will be credited with their write-ups/posts.

Okay, it's a pretty daunting task with a full time job and a baby. Progress is SLOW.

0 to 6 are the big years in a child's life. My youngest just turned 35 last week.

My son is 17 months old--he's amazing. And fearless. And well into the helper stage, so it won't be long before he's in the garage with me. I'm thinking probably next summer. But he's great--he wants to touch or kick or explore everything. And with the first rebuild of the engine last summer, the bike should last long enough to be his when he's old enough...like 10. LOL!
