Here they are, Red: My 79 Special Bobber, just finished.. well there's a handful of things I want to do to it yet. Green: 78 Standard, unrestored project in waiting, but she's road worthy. Black: 80 Special, my first restore and commuter bike.

Yeah, so kept my 75 stock and am still a little sad about not having a bobber. Told my wife we needed to have another baby, we just had a lil girl a couple months ago, and then showed her your pics. She said I have to get the first one on the road before I can look at anymore.
Bitchen stable dude, I envy you.

Thanks.. The bobber isn't battery-less, but it is kick only. It has my own custom wire harness (thanks again pamcopete "Pete") running very lean on the volts and a tiny 5.5 amp battery. Currently it's tucked under the swingarm, but it's small enough to fit where the starter was. I'd like to fab a bracket for it. When I get around to it, I plan to do a full write up on the bobber project, most of the custom ideas came from this site.
I go back and fourth whether I want to keep the green one stock or go Cafe Racer. I'd also like to build a Super Bad A$$ chopper with Ape Hangers, Hardtale wide tire, minimal controls and wiring, and a Suicide Shifter... The kind of bike that almost requires missing teeth and a neck tattoo to ride.
As for the human family. I'm divorced/single with two kids I share 50/50 and am done having anymore kids. Tinkering with these babies is what I do on my kid-less days and after they go to bed. My kids don't ride with me, their mother would have a fit, she hates motorcycles. But we do play "Motorcycle Gang/Race" in the garage together. My 9 year old daughter looks hilarious dresses up in my leathers.

I would give my left ^*! to have any of your bikes. I really like the bobber. When i was building mine, i had a spare fender and it looked a little to plain. I used a jigsaw and finish shaped with a grinder and came up with this. Thought it might look good on the bobber. Awesome job!

Hey CrewChief,
Nice. The black Yam, what kind/make/model windshield do you have on that bike? My 1981 XS 650 is just about "done" and I want to put a shield on it. Yeah, I know it would look better clean but I plan to ride it a good bit, not just look at it.
Any input would be appreciated.
