gas out,get some free

Pushed it to far today, thank I only got 16 miles on reserve.Missed a gas station (not my normal roads)but still thought I could make it to the next station.It was a nice sunny day at 30F & there was a foot & half of extra pavement .I can almost see the station about two miles away,Starting to get warm a mile later with all the gear on & I'm looking at the slight hill just before the station then this car whips around Guy with girl stops says run out of gas I reply yep.He says he will get some rips off goes & buys a can, a gallon of gas & won't let me pay for any of it when he gets back.Told him about going back on I-way to check a girl on the side of rode but when I got back she wasn't there.Ask name(Dave) then thank him.So to say the least this made my day thanks to a nice guy Dave that I don't even thank was a biker but said he's been in bind before.When most just zoomed right buy me,glad none where big rigs,some went buy the other way tho.

Someone with a pickup stopped and towed me a pretty good distance one time when my drive chain broke. Nice to know there are still some decent people out there.

I ran out of gas on Rt. 70 in front of the weigh station about 7am one morning. Sat there for about an hour. Did not have my cell phone with me. The State Highway Administration truck came by and gave me a gallon of gas. That was really cool.
