Hello, My name Robert and I work for BUB Enterprises. I believe some of your readers may be interested to know that BUB Enterprises is going to manufacture a limited run of our 2 into 2 exhaust system for the Yamaha XS 650 . This is a system that we receive many calls for do to the popularity of people restoring these classic bikes. Anyone interested in this system can contact BUB Enterprises at 530-477-7490. Thank you for your time. Regards Robert

in the board rules it say's "No Commercial sellers" have the rules changed? If so I would like to let you all know I have exhaust systems for sale too ;D I think I also read that "this was not a place for venders to pad there wallets" I'm not a vender, I'm just a guy making stuff in my small home shop so I can fund my xs passion ;D I would hate to think there would be a double standard here on the board

I see your point, Scott; however you've been able to mention your pipes and post photos of them, so just what is it that Robert's been allowed to do and you haven't?
It's true we're in a borderline situation here, but here's my take on it. The original BUB 2-2 system for the XS650 was designed in the early '80's for Joe Minton's "Building a Better Twin" project, and has not been available for many years. It's become one of the rarest and most desirable vintage components for our machines. I spoke with Robert yesterday; his notice is not an offer for sale, as the system is being redesigned and is still in development, with specs, pricing and size of production run still to be determined. His post is part of an effort to determine interest level for a limited production run. Many XS650 enthusiasts have nagged BUB for years, directly and indirectly, about making these systems available again, and IMO it's important news that they've heard us and responded. I'll let others chime in on this.
No sales offer would or will be allowed on the board.

Griz post: “I spoke with Robert yesterday; his notice is not an offer for sale” Roberts post: “Anyone interested in this system can contact BUB Enterprises at 530-477-7490” I’m not a smart man but that sure as crap looks like an offer to sell to me! I know I have posted my exhaust systems on here and I DO appreciate the platform to do so, I also have posted a LOT of stuff here and on the net to help others with there builds like electronics, fabrication and the sort with no self interest in mind. I’m glad to see a big company like Bub would respond to owners of these fine little machines and that they would do so for a bike that hasn’t been made for 20something years is even more astounding! I have NO problem with that post he made even though it may look like I do, but I have seen administrators jump on others like Nate from Ardcore when he posted something and “what’s good for the goose is good for the gander” and was wondering why rules didn’t apply to everyone, just don’t want a double standard here that’s all. And Griz, it’s all good nothing personal

Nate didn't have prices either and posted the exact same thing twice and he was booted. This does not seem fair from someone who is not interested in buying from either individual. Not because I of a problem with them I just don't need anything. Acutally, I would like to see list of vendors and what they sell. It would be helpful in the future. I am for the post don't get me wrong. I bought pipes from Scott. It was hard to find, someone that did this and he is a great guy. I understand why you don't want companies selling items but a list of vendors and a quick comment on what they sell would be helpful. I have never built a bike in my life and this type of info would be helpful to myself and others. Without sites like this I would never have been able to drive my wife crazy and build this bike.

yes this is all very interesting..But I would guess it has more to do with the fact that we have the evil word"choppers" in our name. I personally think it is a bit of BS but hey Our business isn't hurting so I really am not worried about it. You know what they say there is no such thing as bad publicty and the back and forth on my post still kept it at the top as it will do for this post..so everyone will see it..even if it does get pulled but I doubt it will... Hell enow even scotts exhust will be getting some looks as will our stuff from guys who may not of heard of either one of us..so it all works for me...

Gentleman:
This is where this post belongs with our links for XS650 parts.
Robertcollier did not read the forum to know where to post. New member and he wont be the first or last new or old member who dose.
grizld1 was good enough to offer to put the notice in the next issue of the 650 Society Newsletter, Nothing wrong with that.
Scottfree you know where you can leave a message about anything you will build for others and offer here. That is what Links is for.
drooling-bloodhound - Links is your resource for vendor others have found and shared with us.
Respectfully Larry Bart

I was wondering if we we could have a list that will remain at the top of the links page. One post with all the links. There is so much info on this site it is sometimes hard to find. Like the members cards that is under the General dis. section.

Evidently you missed the 2nd rule.
2) NO PROFESSIONALS! This board is for parts, not for services. This also includes made to order custom parts, one of a kind parts, etc. The purpose of this board is to help fellow xs650 owners out, not to pad your wallet. The PROS can post a link to their businesses on our LINKS section
Beyond that, the Links board is the wrong board to post items for sale. You can post your Link here. Not photos of the goods you make and hope to sell.

If you are volunteering to make a list of all the links and post it here feel free to do so. I will mark it so it stays at the top of the list of postings.
Thanks Larry Bart

Sure Hi:
I don't know how we missed the fact that you have been posting
U-Tube on our site. Along with the posting you wish other's to
see U-tube advertises along with the video. This is violation
with Pro-Board and could make us loose the entire site. If you
post any more U-Tube here, you will be banned for life from this
forum.
Know what you are posting.

there were no u tube postings in my links post..This the first time this has come up.. I guess you would rather overlook the real issue others are having with the particular post?
