I'm afraid you might be thinking of me, I did not know that it was a violation and have removed the u-tube link.

Sure Hi:
The last time we looked Pro-Boards dose not own U-Tube and U-Tube dose not own Pro Boards. In addition we don"t know if they have any agreement.
We have been down this path before and do not intend to go it again.
If I were Pro Boards and saw 4 adds linked to one of their Forum"s they fund buy selling space to allow us to exist I would seriously consider weather or not to continue to host over 4,000 members because the sites management can not insist the rules be followed. Every thing is not written, however we know how they operate and will respect their wishes.
Respectfully Larry Bart

8. TERMINATION OF SERVICE
This service may be terminated at any time by the Provider or User. The Provider may at its sole discretion remove any message board for any reason.
Administrators from PROBOARDS have personally told me, that, they have in the past, and can do so at anytime, shut down any board for pissing off any PAYING customer/s... By allowing unfettered sales of products that are intended for the same market the paying customers are paying to reach.....Meaning products and/or services offered by SELLERS WHO DO NOT BUY THE SAME AMOUNT OF BANNER SPACE..
In this case...I took the original post made by Robert as a basic good news public service announcement for very reasons Grizld1 stated...No big deal....Not even a blip on the Proboard radar screen.. Why? That guy Robert will probably never be a contributing member and likely does not even own a XS650.. It's not like he's going to be here racking up 100s of posts, like you guys, talking up his products, as you guys do, nor posting pics of his wares, again like you guys do here and are crying foul the loudest making a scene out of nothing. There is a difference in application based on intent. Get real.
Ok, like it or not.. there is no double standard here. Just an un-perfect situation in an un-perfect world...You can agree or disagree. that is your choice..
I will say I'm not going to argue the point of this, and if you disagree that badly, I doubt the door will strike your backsides as you make your way out the exit of this free board..

"like you guys, talking up his products, as you guys do, nor posting pics of his wares, again like you guys do here and are crying foul the loudest making a scene out of nothing" Read my original post! All I did is ask a question and now I’m some sort of jerk for doing so! Anyone can go back and read it, that was a double standard regardless of what you say sir and all I did was call you on it. Rule are rules and apply to all and you can't make them up as you go. I have spent a lot of time here learning and trying to help others when I can, answering questions that had NOTHING to do with me making any $$$$ at all! In fact I only make and sell things for the xs so I can fund my own xs builds and for the tools to do so, why? Because I’m a true xs junkie that’s why! you said "I doubt the door will strike your backsides as you make your way out the exit of this free board.." and you are sooooo right! If this is the way I’m going to be treated by the staff (griz was a complete gentlemen to me) then farewell and believe me the door wont have time to hit me in the a$$ as I leave!

I'm sure it's tough to be a forum cop and have to enforce the rules. I know it is tough to be scolded for a for-sale post. Quite frankly I have seen many members scolded for putting up for-sale posts. Most of these one-time posts involved used equipment so they were singled out for a very minor infraction. I hope Scott and Sure understand they are not alone because so many for-sale posts have been changed or deleted. Please don't leave the forum. It's not personal even though it may seem that way.

Well, this really got out of hand really fast!!!!!!!! This is all supposed to be fun. I call Shenanigans.. I concur with drooling-bloodhound on this one. "buy from scott!!!!!!Nate didn't have prices either and posted the exact same thing twice and he was booted. This does not seem fair from someone who is not interested in buying from either individual. Not because I of a problem with them I just don't need anything. Acutally, I would like to see list of vendors and what they sell. It would be helpful in the future. I am for the post don't get me wrong. I bought pipes from Scott. It was hard to find, someone that did this and he is a great guy. I understand why you don't want companies selling items but a list of vendors and a quick comment on what they sell would be helpful. I have never built a bike in my life and this type of info would be helpful to myself and others. Without sites like this I would never have been able to drive my wife crazy and build this bike."" Word BRO.. I agree with you totally..

Interesting thread... Anyway, I don't want this to come off as advertisement but I'm in the process of building a 650 website (as I've mentioned in other areas of the site). I have a section where members can post parts for sale. Scottfree, I would love to create a category specifically for your parts where you can login and add or update on a regular basis. The for sale section is here: www.xs650motorcycles.com/index.php/Bikes-For-Sale/ I don't have it all worked out yet but with such a demand for parts, it would make sense to have the "Parts" category a little more prominent on my site. Thanks for your time
