Hey there guys. New to the forum, found it while browsing XS650chopper.com I'm on 650rider too but damn those guys can be annoying. Figured I would post my build here too since most people on here seem to be ok with riding a bike without reflectors. So, about the bike..pretty simple. 1980 XS650 21" harely front wheel, 16" heritage xs wheel, mikes starter block off, 18" springer fork, 6" dogbone risers, old wassell tank, ribbed rear fender. Getting ready to start building a single downtube frame for it. Haven't decided on the handlebars or paint yet. Thats about it for now.

I know of some good spots to stick reflectors. Nice front end.

Well how I fit the wheel is a two part answer. 1. Its a harley front end 2. I'm building my own frame and am going to use a neck tube that will allow me to use harley bearings. Here's a couple different looks at the bike. got my risers mounted today.

Well, I'm actually hardtailing it....I think! The more I look at these bratstyle bikes the more I want to build one. I think I'm just going to build this one as a hardtail and do a bratstyle shovelhead for my next build That bike is sick though..I LOVE those mooneyes oil tanks.

Have you installed this yet? and did it require any sealant between the plates?
