I personally like tail bags that fit on the rear seat or a rear rack. I think it gives you the best balance when riding. You can find 100 used rear racks to fit the XS 650 on ebay. You may have to get them powder coated or re-chromed if needed. Than put almost any tail bag you want. This is a picture of my beater I just put on the road. It came with a sissy bar ( I powder coated it black) so I was able to put on a tall bag, even has a space for a tool bag.... ok I can't find a damn picture of my new coreteck bag but this picture is of the K&G bag that came with this siiybar/luggage rack in1978. www.tourmaster.com/xcart/product.php?productid=304&cat=0&page= This is my brothers bike. He found a luggage rack from someone hear on the board. He cut off the sissy bar and put in two plastic plugs. He than bought this bag for $50. and it works very well. Size of a large shoe box...I don't know the manufacturer. This is the tail bad that bolts on to the stock seat on my triumph, when I need more room I have a net I clip on the top to hold a jacket or gloves. Great system, I also have the tank bag that bolts on but keep the tail bag 24/7 362. You can always get a back pack.....This one I had up to 130mph and rode for 6 days with it, ain't cheap but the best www.aerostich.com/kriega-r25.html
