Shakernorm, on my 75 there is only one part to the safety relay. On the later models where the relay turns the headlight on, I don't know for sure. I have one from an 82. If you have it off the bike, look at the back side, with the wires pointing left, you will have a a yellow and two red/white wires at the bottom side. The upper end will have a green a black and a red/yellow wire and a white resistor. I think the safety relay is the lower side with the two red/white and yellow wire.It looks like a pretty tough job to open up.looks like a sealer is applied over the wires and the center screw for the covers. With my tester made of batteries and resisters it will only click with the Batteries. 2.99 volts I'm not sure if it will open up.
