I received my painting today and it was well worth the wait. My friend is a great painter. Now the powder coating. I hope the picture works. TC Attachments:

Did you fill the emblem bracket holes or was tank already a smooth side model?

I gotta tel ya....when I first looked at that pic, I was wondering just what kind of frame you were using....that didn't have a bottom cradle!! I guess the smaller pic and my pc's resolution hid the fact that you've got that lower section covered up!! Kinda an 'optical illusion' against the light pavement! anyway...nice touch on the painted fenders....and I like the chrome headlight. I'm getting ready to re-do a '77 and I've been looking for ideas.......I just had the headlight bucket, side covers, and tank all painted in a nice metallic red color. Been trying to figure out what to do about the fenders. I think I'm just going to go ahead and paint them a light silver-grey metalic.....they're too far gone to be re-used as-is....and just too expensive to get them re-chromed! Nice job on your bike! Regards, Tom D.

Thanks for the kind words. I have mounted a chrome rack. It is very functional but I kinda like the look without it. I does accent the head light housing. I left the foam in until I mount the engine. I also have a set of Mike's 1.5 inch headers that have been internally ceramic coated. To match the British Style I have a set of British Style Mufflers. The engine will have 34 VM's and a Sparx Alternator with a three-phase rectifier-regulator. I am wiring the bike today and hope for a January completion date. I will keep the board posted. Thanks again. TC

I had a look at my frame and the powder coating is so thick the frame numbers cannot be read without a magnifying glass. To register the bike in CA I had to sand the frame steering stem. After I register the bike I will try to touch up the paint. I really hurt to sand that beautiful coating. TC
