You lucky bastard! When I was single, 10k a year was easy. Now that I'm married with kids, I'd be surprised if I got 6k. Don't know for sure because the XS doesn't have a speedo. Day trips are out and long trips are a thing of the past. The only time I ride now is back and forth to work. Luckily, on this side of the country, the riding season is 50 weeks long. We only get one week of snow and it usually takes them a week to clean up all the sand and gravel they dumped on the snow. The rest of the winter it is either warm and rainy, or cold and dry. Sub freezing is doable if you wear enough layers. I have a winter helmet that is a size larger so I can wear a thick ski mask.

Thats a champion effort there bullet! I get 52 weeks of riding a year, but I live only 10km from work and rarely get a chance to do a road-trip....

I'm still riding in NW Ohio, a mixture of good fall weather, and my stubborn persistence.... about 5000 miles this summer....9500 miles on my XS in 16 riding months. I ride from March until there is salt on the road late in the late fall or early winter. I hate salty slush on my old bike. John Scribner

In 2008 I put 10,000 miles on my bike. I would have done that this year if I hadn't been stuck sunny Florida for five months this year. Since middle of June I have racked up 6000 miles. Last week I hit 60k on the old bike and am still riding every day that I can, Luckily I work 60 miles from home, so it's a good ride each way.
