Besides MikesXS, where can I find the t shaped fuel line for the BS34s? Or what else can I use to supply fuel between the carbs.
The original one is a little ratty. I might be able to use it but since I have the carbs apart I think it prudent to replace the fuel line.

Home Depot has Brass fittings that work very nicely and very cheap.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking "motorcycle part" and not "brass fitting". What could be used for the seal between the fitting the the slot/hole in the carb bodies? It would have to be something resistant to gas.

skidro, The original "T" can be reclaimed and used again. 1. Start by stripping the rubber coating off of it. 2. Then, cut two sections of 1/4 Neoprene gas line and insert them into the cab inlets. 3. Start to press the "T" into the Neoprene inserts in each carb 4. Use a clamp to squeeze the carbs together. 5. Check the length of the Neoprene sections to ensure they are not collapsing in the carb inlets. www.amckayltd.com/carb clamp.jpg[/img]

pamcopete, perfect solution. I have everything I need in the garage. As suggested, the tee itself is fine it's just the black coating that is beat up. The same technique would work for the HD brass fittings too. Thanks

skidro,
It takes a bit of patience to do this as the fit is very tight. Let the neoprene "relax" once in a while. Keep the carb inlets lined up as you increase the pressure on the clamp.

I found that Tygon 1/4 fuel line works great for this repair, it can be found at most lawnmower shops.

i read the one mikes has leaks like a s.o.b., but that was just one experience, not mine. just a heads up. When I rebiult/cleaned out my 34's. I tried to undo the four screws that hold the twocarbs together. they are GD tight. I mean T.I.T. tight. how do you get them apart? I have yet to start my rebiult motor with 'fresheshend' carbs, but always the pessimest, I expect the worst.

I've heard that lock-tite was sometimes used on those screws by the factory so you may need to heat them first.

I bought the one from Mike's and it leaked really bad. I had the o-rings seated perfectly and took care with pressing the carbs togethter and when everything was bolted back together the brass T had side to side movement. I took PamcoPete's advice and found some fuel tubing at the local mower and saw shop. Thx Pete!
There is a T on ebay right now that 2 o-rings on each side and looks like it would work well. Kinda pricey at about $30 shipped.
