HI All,

I'm just planning out the shows I want to go to this summer and thought I'd share.
These are the Vintage shows I've found so far.

Sun May 2, 9:30am – 4:30pm Downtown Holly Michigan : Rally at Battle Alley / Vintage Bike Show & HIM Blessing of the Bikes
I'm not a Hogs in Ministry member, but I like this show. Holly is a cute town, I've been twice to this show, it's not very big.

Sun June 13th, Gilmore Museum Vintage Motorcycle Show in Hickory Corners Michigan www.vjmc.org/calendar/images/gilmore_07-10.pdf.
I went last year and really enjoyed it. This is a pretty big show and it's a real pretty ride out there.

Sat & Sun June 19-20, Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Rally at Grattan Raceway (near Grand Rapids) www.vjmc.org/calendar/images/grattan_7_10.pdf
Never been to this one, just found it on the vjmc site.

Being that two of the shows are back to back weekends and I have my kids every other week, one of those shows I might be there with kids in tow, and possibly bikes trailered in if I plan on showing.

Hope to see some other Garage members there.

I don't know if I'll be there, it's a busy weekend for me with my kids. Plus it doesn't look Kid freindly (Daddy, What's a Hooter Girl, ... Daddy, that girl is not wearing pants under her chaps... Yeah try to explain that one to the ex)

Rally at Battle Alley May 2nd,
At one point my GF suggested we turn around a go home, but I was stupid and stubborn to turn back (sorry honey, your a trooper). We got caught in a rain storm Saturday night on our way to a friend's house in Flint, then was plagued with rain on and off all day Sunday. There were less than 10 bikes in the show, and about an other 20 scattered around town. Oh Well... got a chance to shop around at Rocky's www.motorcycleandoutdoors.com/, a real cool store with lots of classic bikes scattered around the store.

There was a weak showing of xs650s at the Gilmore Museum Vintage Motorcycle Show last weekend. In general, a lot less bikes in the show and more parts swappers. Still 100+, few customs, lots of old Honda's, a nice showing of European bikes, and tons of BMW's as it's hosted by a BMW club. The parking lot had a few nice bikes. I arrived a little late to show mine.

Chopper Fest 22nd - 25th in Martin MI. www.davidson-express.com/events.html

They have added a Classic Bike Thursday. I wont be there for that as I have to work. I might be out there Saturday though.

I went two years ago. It's a pretty big biker rally... Lots grizzled bikers getting drunk and biker chicks flashing their boobies. Plus some of the midwest's top builders, drag races, vendors and live music. Joan Jett and the Black Hearts Thursday night!
