Fed-Ex delivered my tickets yesterday, $35 in advance for the entire 3-days! Unfortunately, still making snails pace progress on my 650 Cafe conversion so will be riding my 850. Anyone else going? I missed the last couple years, so I can't wait for this years. Hope to see some of you there.

URL=http://img707.imageshack.us/i/roadamerica036.jpg/] [/URL] Road America started friday with some heavy rain.. light drizzles then cleared to almost sunny. Sat and sun was cloudy but no rain. The races were great. The track has 14 (?) turns... with lot's of elevation changes. Great views on the outside and inside of the course. Walking the pit area was a real treat. Camp grounds couldn't be better. Plenty of on site food vendors. This was the first year of the swap meet and only about 50 made the trip. Those I talked with said they would return next year. The usual suspects were on hand and BS flowed as freely as the beer.

Ditto to what Motormike said. I'm glad the event was the success that is was, being so close to home. Definately a must do for next year. As far as VMD, I'm afraid I won't be making that trip this year. I succombed to pressure, and agreed to a road trip with a good old friend instead. We'll be doing Utah and Colorado for two weeks on two Yamaha Roadstars. I'm going to miss VMD, tho. Had a great time years past, and the company wasn't bad either! Cafefill

Made it to MidOhio. They claim over 60,ooo attendees and 800 plus vendors. I think they'r in the ball park. There were 5 or 6 1975 Xs units in the swap.. priced from $350.oo-3500.oo. One of the $3500.oo units looked stock but they hung a drum front brake on it. One nice 73 was already sold and didn't have a price. A 80 Special was on the block for $2,300.oo. Didn't see alot of parts for the Xs.
