Come One. Come All. Labor day weekend. Westby Wisconsin. Two full days of guided riding with the best bunch of Motorcyclists you would ever want to meet. On some of Wisconsins best twistys. www.wildcatrally.com/The rally directors sort of POO-POOed the idea of an "XS650 Only" group ride this year. Wanting to stick with their traditional theme of a "Riders Rally" That means any and all bikes and rider skill levels. Each day their are three groups. Slow, Medium, and Fast (For lack of a better term?) Pick your pace and have a blast! Its a great opportunity to give your vintage bike a good workout with some like minded riders. There has always been a big contention of XS650s. And the BS gets pretty deep! ;D ;D ;D Hope you all can make it!  Uploaded with ImageShack.us |

 I don't know why they nix'd the 650 Only ride. WildCat, I believe, started as a Xs650 event and other riders and groups were always welcomed. The 650 Only ride was added for the obvious reasons... tire kicking.. what works and what doesn't work... etc etc. The will be " One " 650 Only ride. Speedy, the girl friend, and I enjoy County Road " P ". As for the evening... parking lot.. after dinner " ... cigar, beer.. some guy named Johnny Walker BS " session... that's why they make tall boots...  |

I'm not sure either why the "650 only ride" got nixed, except maybe for the fact that we had too much fun?
Looking forward to another Wildcat this year. I'll be bringing a friend from New York state. He's a real card- should fit in nicely with the rest of the wackos. Bring on the hip boots!

Well.... I can sort of see their point. If you think about it. All the 650s will most likely want to be in the same group anyway. So whats the difference? ride whatever bike you want and follow the chosen pace. We have had some great rides(upon our XS650's) with Viragos and SR500s, Hondas, triunphs, and even R6's for that matter.
The pecking order works out fairly quickly and everyone has a safe ride at a plenty spirited pace.

 ![]() img707.imageshack.us/img707 Another great year at WildCat. The girl friend and I rode the 82 and it never skipped a beat. With the 31 rear sprocket I had to kick it down to 4th on the longer grades but it cruised at 65 no problem. Two riders went down at different times. One suffered a broken ankle. At the awards dinner.. 13 first rider year pins.. a hand full of 5 year pins and I believe 2 15 year pins were presented. Other awards... were handed out to the lucky " winners ". |

Sunday morning group ride forms up....  Pre-Flight breifing for some of the riders in the "Fast" group...  And a good time was had by all !!  Another great year at the Cat. No "Awards" for me this year.  Next year, same time same place.... |
