I've been on the forum for a while, but haven't been able to post photos. Here is my $1.00 '79 XS650SF right after I got it, after some cleanup, then after a seat cover replacement. I have a "standard " tank on the way, and I'm planning on lower or clubman bars, 2-1 exhaust, and pod filters in the near future. I love to see these bikes brought back to life like this with minor mods and improvements. Nice job.

That is a real nice bike, did you really get it for $1 ? That's gotta be THE bargain!!!

Wow
A whole Dollar? Were you pointing a shotgun at him at the time? Or was the ambulance waiting to take him off to the funny farm?
That's an absolute steal!

He was scared of it because he experienced a wobble on the freeway. Not sure what caused it, I 've had it up around 100MPH with no problems. Sfter that he decided to buy a BMW, his loss, my steal!

Nice! If I were near you I'd give you $2 for it.. haha 100% profit for you.. haha.. The best I've done for an xs650 is $150 with a holed siezed piston and $200 for a runner..
