Whats the advantage with this system?? Hotter spark I suppose, self contained coil? Maybe good for Racing applications only. There would still be a points set and condencer inside there somewhere as well. Any street application would still require an alternator and battery for lights and such. And $750 WOW. I don't get it ?? Boyer or even the Bore Tech ignition unit would be a much better overall choice IMHO.... www.bore-tech.com/DX-65%20Installation%20Instructions%2C%202.02.pdf Eisman aircraft mags have grounded me more than once. EEEH Gad... along the same lines as Lucas electrics. Good news was you could get some parts for them at the local Farmall tractor dealer... my $.02 only

Yeah - I agree Sevenson - they are mostly for racing - or someone who is using no electrical system at all.
Hotter spark - definitely, reliability - probably about the same as a good set of points (yes - they do use points and condenser to fire the spark....) But they definitely do have a COOL factor, too.....
Bore-Tech (looks like a similar system to the early Boyers), Boyer, or PamcoPete's systems are probably a much cheaper, and more reliable setup for street use. And Pete's 83KV coil is probably just as hot as the magneto.
