I have been reading all this with great interest. My TX is blowing oil out the two breather hoses all over the rear wheel (not fun). Starting off what and where are the plugs you are talking about? Is there a valve in the rocker cover? I don't know if I have the right dipstick either so what should the oil level be via a distance down the dipstick from the underside of the alloy dipstic screw in plug? Thelast time I road it the dribbles stopped when the oil level droped to just showing on the bottom of the dipstick. This worried me enough to add oil and another coat of oil on the rear tyre. I have put new rings in and they are standard. K & N filters are fitted the engine is a 447 but the pistons took 265? rings. Acording to Moose Yammaha changed pistons mid year.

Part number 89000. Its white plastic like the one described earlyier in the thread. The one mentioned with part number 55055 was way to big.

louisvan: trix13 - I had a problem with my 1975 SX650. When I got to highway speeds, the engine lost power. The problem was in the connectors. At a certain vibration and the wind pushing on the wiring loom, the connector lost continuity. A bad crimp to the wire. May 20, 2021 1:19:09 GMT -5
