The way mine are pitted they almost look like they are chrome. I would like to go with the brushed aluminum look. Is this best done with scotchbrite or what is the correct procedure? I am also going to do the two side covers.

Stock they are aluminum . There were a few aftermarket chrome pieces that leaked and didn't fit as well as stock chromed covers that didn't fit well .
If aluminum , 400 , 600 , 800 grt then coarse , fine and mothers .

gggGary: Yes 17 volts is too high, about 14 volts is max, sounds like you don't have the right regulator or it's wired wrong. Jul 13, 2017 6:54:33 GMT -5
