Stayed up late last night rejetting carbs and setting timing. Ran great. Got home from work next day and decided to go for a spin. Usually starts 1st or 2nd kick (kick start only) Won't start, many many kicks, bruise forming on insde of knee from up pipes. Finally starts, but only running on one cylinder. How could that be it slept all day. Must have flashed a plug trying to start. Determined which cylinder was dead and swaped plugs from opposite cylinder. Sure enough bad plug. Jumped in truck and ran to town(18 mile round trip) First place out of plugs. Second place had them (10 more miles) Got back, put them in, very hard to start, lots of compression. Have to leave on side stand to get enough umph to kick it through. Finally starts, still missing on one cylinder. Must be a bad plug. Check that out , plugs are good. Must be timing, no thats fine, must have done something wrong with carbs, check it out, no thats fine to, must have blown a head gasket, no thats fine to. After 2 hours of work and deep thought, which is very difficult for my small brain, a menacing thought crossed my mind. Do you think it's out of gas?
