This is probably an extremely stupid question, but I was wondering if it would be possible to graft part of the neck of an Indian Enduro with a title to a XS650 untitled frame? Could this technically still be titled as an Indian frame? Kind of an Indian XS650? Would it then be a YamaIndian?

Anything's possible but not necessarily advisable, from my point of view the Indian deserves to live, It's a cute little bugger.
Being from the UK I don't understand how the US title system works but can't you find something in a breakers yard more suitable? A dead XS or XJ?

Max Yeah, I don't understand how the title system works too well either. It varies from state to state, and also person to person from my experience at the Dept. of Motor Vehicle. I get different answers from different people & sometimes I don't think even they know. I guess "breakers yard" is a salvage yard? I never heard that term. From what I understand once a motorcycle has salvage in the title in NJ, it wil always carry that in the title. I've been trying to get a non-salvage 1977 XS650 with a title, but the prices seem awfully high lately. I was getting a bit desperate. lol
