The suspension is great, according to my standards. Now the problem is with the 13.5 in shocks. The kick stand is too short. Leans way more than I like. I may have to lower the tripple tree's some to help, but it is allready diveing into turns pretty fast as it is. I am not seeing extended swing arms for sale. Anyone know of any? I guess I could get it welded.

Extend yours. You can weld a 1/2 pad on the bottom.

I believe you gain over an inch if you adapt a Radian swing arm. It may be a good modification, but I don't think it will solve your side stand issue. An extension is probably the answer.

I don't think 1/2 in is enough. maybe 1in. That will look wierd.

10-E: maybe carry a little block of wood 3/4" thick, in your back pocket ? Use as needed. Or take the 1" piece of kickstand we had to cut out, when the boy lowered the blue ride. NOTE, to remove this stand, lower the stand, and stick pennies or dimes, into the spring gaps, lift the stand, take it off. Makes life easier putting it back on. drop it off , and i will weld a section in it, if you say to. (heat and bend out if too long ? No one but you will notice.) Preston

Wow Man! Am I ever glad you brought this up because I was just about to weld on a new kickstand to replace a buggered up one, then you remind me that any mods that alter the stationery height will change whether my kickstand was correctly set up or not. I'm thinking I'll go with a monoshock and a 17" wheel on the rear and that will definitely change things to the point where I'd have ended up kicking myself in the butt.

I had to lengthen mine due to longer rear shocks. I started with a 1/2" piece of plate which proved to be not quite enough, added another 1/4" piece to the bottom of that. Filled in with weld and all ground down nice and it looks almost factory .....

Make a new one, that's what I did. I used chromoly tubing .065" wall x .75" diameter. It's now the correct length for my set up and half the weight of the clunky original. Cut off the clevis and spring pin and make the rest. Cheers, 50gary

I am very happy with the Progressive suspension. I gave it the test today out in Paw Paw, WVA and Little Orleans MD on a bunch of mountainous gravel roads. The faster I went the better it worked. Of coarse I could not go that fast with the Dunlop GT501's. I didn't bottom out or top out the suspension and those roads are rough. Especially West Virginia. WVA roads usually mean not very well maintained. Wish I would have had some knobbies or trials tires, I would have been able to really test it out. Mike Morse set me up right. Yahooooo.
