Hi there let me introduce myself I live in Quebec Canada Where our riding season is quite short I have been working for the last four years on the 1978 Yamaha 650 special that I picked up in North Carolina The bike is use regularly and this winter it's receiving a little bit more of a face lift The motorcycle already has a green and cream with gold accents pay job reminiscent of the 1960s triumphs in order to get the look that I wanted all the chrome was removed IE fenders are no in that green and cream paint scheme all brackets such as taillight housings speedo pods and all the miscellaneous brackets or no all in a powder coated wrinkled black as is the engine handlebars were replaced with black eyes were mirrors all switches were replaced with ones from a Yamaha dirtbike to be black in color This winters mods are two in Cleaud rebuilding one of the two front brake calipers replacing one of the hoses the conversion to EXAS 1100 breaks was done several years ago .the wheels are powder coated gold with green actually apple green. Striping. This winters mods will include a remote oil filter replacing several covers adding pedestrian slicer to the front fender as well as fork gators made from shock absorber bellows from the pick up truck and finally I need a café style seek to replace the hinged slightly stepped seat of the 1978 650

Welcome to our corner of the web! There is a quite active group at XS 650.com. Not to say this group isn't active.
