Last weekend at the state fairgrounds over in St Paul.. the yearly antique m/c show.. Held with the VJMC and AMC, Viking Chapter.
During the winter we restored a 72' Xs2 (marks650yamahas) for a local customer. So we entered it for judging. Took best in class. I haul'd the bike over from the shop to the show .. 50 miles... got to the gig and had extra bodies on hand to get it off load'd and parked.
Next day Mark load'd another XS..77' D model..to put on the floor for the show with a for sale sign. The bike was very very nice. New correct paint. our last set of nice mufflers and runs like a new. He strap'd it at all four corners on the trailer... then .. " a rough area on the freeway ".. it fell over... Eeeeeeeeck... needless to say Mark turn'd around and drove home.
Damages... it could have been worst.. side cover dented, headlight ear bent, right muffler ding ... I want'd topost photos.. but can't figure out how on this forum.
