I've got a 74 tx650 on a hardtail frame and I'm wondering what type of battery would be best for all the vibration? I'm also running a PMA banshee setup with just a kickstart only. Battery is mainly for all electronics on the bike, plus a bit to kick it over. 10-14ah should do just fine.

As far as vibration is concerned, the only thing that's going to help is damping. Any battery of any type will shake apart inside if you hard mount it.

When it comes to motorcycle batteries I've had no trouble with these, every Yuasa battery I've owned has lasted at least 7 years.

Welcome, smokey, and +1 on Yuasa batteries; they're the best you can buy. But the OP has gotten rid of his shocks and swingarm for some reason, and that involves chucking the nice rubber damped OE battery box as well. No battery will hold up to the road shock and vibration for very long unless there's something to cushion the blows.

Griz is correct. I guess the best info I can give is to get a small enough battery to use enough foam under and on the sides to damp the vibration.

An AGM battery will tolerate shock and vibration better than a flooded wet cell. Still..... Shock mounts are required.
