I'm back in the xs650 club again! I just traded my little SR250 for this mystery XS650. The person I traded with said that they had it running once but he was having electrical problems. He said it had some sort of custom 6 volt PMA charging system in it. From what I can gather this is a custom mix of honda parts?? The regulator is from a honda xl250. The coils are 'TEC' coils which i saw online were made for hondas too. The coils have condensers mounted on them but the wires are cut. There is another set of condensers wired up to the points though. There is some box that has a mitubishi logo on it and one wire coming out of it? Battery eliminator maybe?? The alternator also has a mitsubishi logo on it and beside the logo it says FOTO19. I have no idea what this stuff is off of but think it would be cool to run the bike with the existing set up so that I don't need a battery. Does anyone have a clue as to what this stuff is and how it to make it work??

Here's a wiring diagram of how the bike came wired. the alternator has a green and a green and red wire that are not hooked up anything. pretty custom?? Does this diagram make sense? Are there components missing? Are there extra components like my mystery mitsubishi box?? Attachments:

This bike has got a 750 kit on it and also this single carb intake on it. It look pretty trick but I'm contemplating going back to the dual carb intake. I had an xs650 before that went bad but i saved all the charging system things off so if this turns out to be unwork able then i can just pop my pamco ignition in and have to build a place to put a battery and I'll be on my way hopefully. Thanks!
