If your bike were mine, I'd keep as is and be looking for another less loved XS650 to turn into a cafe racer.

Once again -- WOW !!! I'd say that photo was taking on the showroom floor in '77, except it doesn't look like much of a showroom, and I don't see anyone with bellbottoms, lambchop sideburns, and pornstar moustache!

And in such a short time. BUT, the pipes have to go, they are all wrong for that bike, stick the origional muffs on. Then again there was nothing wrong with the origional bike me thinks. John.
	'78 xs650 street tracker. '77 xs650 roadster.

motormike: Good Day ...just a FYI.. Wild Cat is this Labor Day weekend. Still go'n on. A few 650's still make the scene. Various rides at different skill levels each day.. awards dinner sunday eve. BS in the park'n lot after dinner.
