XS650D paint

Hello, I am in the process of redoing a 1977 XD650D. Tank is in pretty good condition but could use paint and decals. Does any oneknow of a source for the maroon paint? Maybe the paint code?

I don't know the paint code or a specific source for it but I think any good automotive paint supplier could match it pretty closely.
The guys I use are very helpful and can pretty much match any colour you bring them from any sample including fabric. I'm sure there would be someone in your neck of the woods that could help in the same way.

Don't forget, your paint is probably a bit faded so the new paint (even if it is the exact paint Yammie used) will come out darker.

I have a local Yammie dealer that I can check with...they may have an original code or can find one.

I'm new to the boards here but am working on an xs650d myself. I've been doing a lot of research and I think I can at least use some of it to help out. The code I've come up with is 00U8 for Maxi Maroon (MM) for the model D.

Should be pretty handy for anyone looking to go original with the color.
