One BIG warning about fiberglass - if you're using polyester resin (the kind you buy at automotive stores - epoxy resin is actually a LOT safer) be EXTREMELY careful with the hardener for it - it is called Methyl Ethyl Keytone Peroxide and is VERY nasty stuff! If you get the stuff anywhere near your eyes - you WILL GO BLIND INSTANTLY! One second is too late with this stuff - there is no way to prevent it other than keeping it away from your eyes, and it is not reversable! For other warnings about it - here's a link to the Material Safety Data sheet for the stuff.... www.norac.com/msds/Norox_MEKP/MEKP-925H_MSDS.pdfWear Rubber gloves and wash your hands VERY well before you scratch your eyes. Good luck and play safe, eh..?

I was searching over on another site about trikes, and there is a builder who makes the complete trike body outta cardboard and then fiberglasses over the cardboard to make the body section....seems it would sag if it got too wet, but I guess getting the right set time on the resin and support would be the ticket...juz some info. get the righ support.if you mess with the sef time of polyester resin(adding to much catalist)the resin will crystalize and with something that vibrates the way an xs does the paint job won't last long.
