As of today, our members Guylr and WmWallace have been named as Senior Technical advisors...I'd like to personally thank each of them for coming onboard and thank them for all the great information and help they both have provided in the past..
Also..most if not all of the original longtime members who were responsible for making last years "shirt list" drive a success have been named as Senior Members at Large..These are the guys who have stayed in touch when the old board would wheeze, cough and die out for a few days..I'd like to thank these guys for their "stick to it ness" and keeping the dream alive..
LarryBart, has been named a Moderator...Larry worked long and hard to compile a comprehensive membership email list and has that archived..
Myself and Bob have at least two other people in mind for Senior Technical Advisor positions and probably another Moderator or two..
The new homepage is almost complete, getting some finishing touches added...Bob and I both looking at various discussion board platforms, and will be making a decision soon on that....
More to come..
Regards and thanks again
John

Well, I`m honored for sure-but there`s guys here whose knowledge of the 650 [and IC in general] dwarfs mine. Part of my `job' in the real world is troubleshooting, so I guess that`s the skill I`ll rely on to help out. I am gonna have to call on some of the Advanced Beanie Class to help out w/ the tough stuff.
I guess the idea of a core group here is really to help all the new guys from getting discouraged and just giving up. Real nuts & bolts mechanics and metalworking is a dying art, and I`m going to need all your help fanning the flame.
I think there should be at least a half dozen tech advisors here, motor guys, frame/suspension, choppers/welders/painters/polishers-etc. I would suggest that any of you guys w/ these skills-and you know who you are- get ahold of Bob or John.
Guy LR is THE man when it comes to `juice', and I`m not to bad at reviving dead bikes [got a flock of `em here] & sorting out problems, but please everybody pitch in whenever you feel you can.
We have an opportunity to actually improve on one of the absolute bike sites on the whole damn web-so let`s do it!
Thanks again,
Wil' Bill

Thanks Wild Bill, We are pleased to announce that GDJohnson has come on-board as another Senior Technical Advisor. We welcome him to the crew..Greg has a history with the XS650 and brings a lot of real world experience to the table. Guylr is "the man" when it comes to the juice and has a long indepth mechanical understanding of the XS650 , plus he articulates himself very well when explaining concepts and reasoning.. . Wm. Wallace is great at trouble shooting systems step by step and writes like my old english professor at WKU.. ;D There certainly is no misunderstanding of the message when Bill writes out his opinions and asks pointed mechanical questions.. I agree that there probably ought to be STAs that specialize and I'm sure Bob and I will look at that possiblity in the near future...Considering that we may add addition catagories to the "permanent" discussion board once the new site comes online... All three of you guys who have already been asked and have accepted to take up the STA positions were chosen for various reasons..I've only listed a few as to why I think you guys are the top of the crop... After all, I don't want you guys getting yer heads all swelled up and unable to fit into the beanies Hammer is crafting for us at this very moment! ;D Regards John

I'm proud and honored to be on board, especially in such good company as Bill, Greg, Larry and Bob. This board is looking really nice and I predict others will find it a good place to hang out with like minded 650ists. Thanks again John!

WOW..................How cool! Thanks! guy's. I hope that I can provide you all with as much valuable information as a lot of you have provided me. This site (and the old one) have been invaluable to me. There are a lot of really knowledgable people that hang out here and that, combined with the fact that everyone has respect for others opinions, is what makes this the best site period. I am really honored to be recognized as a valuable part of this group. Thanks again!

Hi Guy's,
I have been working outside of my usual State for the past few months and have only just looked at the old board, hence found this one.
I gave up on the old board after getting fed up with the "I need more money" carping on.
Guy's I like to share my knowledge for what it is worth and I also like to learn what everyone else doing or has done, these bikes are great, the people who own and ride them are a great bunch of people.
Keep up the good work, I will bookmark and look in as often as I can.
