Hey Treb. Hope this can help you post a pic. First off, in your Photobucket file highlight the URL of your picture and go up to EDIT in the top toolbar and click COPY. Next go to your post and when you want to insert your pic click on the 4ht box on the bottom row (looks like a landscape pic). Use your mouse and click between the two image boxes where I have an X, ![]() X ![]() Lastly, go to the EDIT toolbar and hit PASTE. Now you are set to go.

I like how you mounted those rear shocks, it is different...

I thought about trying the shocks that way but it really is not safe this way unless you reinforce the erar loop or make a strong new loop from scratch. it does lower the bike about 2-3 inches like i wanted. i may try it on my next project but this baby is getting a hardtail. if someone wants to try this set as i have it now be my guest. i would like to see a finished bike with this done maybe i might like it even better. who knows. the only real reason i decided against it was because the rear fender i acquired would not sit correctly. well now you've got me perplexed, im thinking may be to go with this set up as its something ive never seen and maybe it will start a trend if i finish my bike like this. I do like the way it looks but i did not know how everyone would react to it. ? trebchopper

I'm new here, no pics posted yet, will try to get a few up. Only have one pic of 650 last incarnation, and it's a poloroid...LOL Also have some pics of in process KONG, but need to get them scanned. Bike is '81 Special, was stock runner for $400. rode it a month or so and got tagged by apartment mgmt, so I stored it at work. After driving car to go ride cycle, I decided to KONG it. Solid struts, no stretch, lowered with st8 pipes and a teardrop tank. Rode suprisingly well with struts, seat position was almost perfect pivot point, so I didn't get the harsh kidney killer bumps that you always hear about. All that's left is engine cradle and motor... NEXT project.
Also may be picking up 4 motors and 2 titled frames next week. I'm a parts whore... LOL

AAhaa! The bike with the white seat is a 1976, swingarm stretched 3.5 inches, 11.75 sporster shocks, 21inch honda dirbike front wheel, neck raked to 36 degrees, mikuni 34s, runs and handles great. oh yeah, the upper shock mount moved up and forward about 1/2 inch. The bike with the red seat I just finished, havn't ridden yet, 1981, swingarm stretched 3.5 inches,36 degree rake, upper mount stock, 11.5 shocks from mikes, 16x3 borrani rear wheel, 21 inch ackront front rim with honda xl hub, batteries moved under swingarm, starters removed, sprocket specialties 520 spockets and 520 oring chain. Both bikes only have about 4 inches of ground clearance so I mounted aftermarket kickstand back and up. Any questions feel free to ask, thanks

Sorry! No pictures of the XS650 as it is still being assembled. It is a chopper that I am building for my wife. She was not enamored with the idea of riding on the p-pad of my rigid Shovelhead so I told her I would build one for her. I have not owned a XS650 since 1972, all Shovelheads since then. I will post pictures as soon as it is up.

Hi Bob, I thought I had sent some info with pic? Bike is a 78 mostly stock as I had to ride it everyday for 2 yrs. Changed exhaust and fitted dual disc with Suzuki Katana calipers & master cyl. made up a set of stainless braided lines with a crossover. Front mudguard is off a Kawasaki GPZ600 and headlights are Streetfighter from Britain. I have some pics of my 800 motor, almost done, cant remember where all the pieces are (safe! ;D ;D) Made a starter moter blanking plug tonight, getting back into the swing of things!
