Hello everyone.
Our good XS friend Larry Bart has gone way beyond the "call of duty" in the past with his keeping up with and the emailing of many formerly active members of the old discussion group..Larry's actions were instrumental in helping several of those people get back in the old board during the last crash or two when several lost their passwords or the link they had simply did not get them back to the old board [which was hosted by the Bikeguy]..Also as a direct result of Larry's actions, many of those members have made the move over here as well.. Our active ranks are growing daily and most everyone seems to like where the board is headed....We do have big things in mind for our group and with the good group of people who have migrated our way or otherwise found us, I'm confident we will continue to be the best XS650 group on the net...It'll only get better when the new site comes online..
Long story short, Larry has taken it upon himself to begin archiving much of the good info that was found on the old board, saving it to disc, along with the authoring credits, just so we do not lose that info..He is also backing up/archiving much of the info that is accumulating on this "temp" board to aid in the transfer to the new XS-650GarageUSA.com discussion board as it is brought online and activated..
Folks, it's no easy task to sort through the catagories and decide what is worth saving and preserving as a whole...Basically the chit-chat will probably not be included, but the meat and potato's info is what we are all interested in...
I personally want to thank Larry, and I think many of you older members will want to give Larry a good ol' digital High Five as well....If any of you guys would like to help Larry out with his task..I'm pretty sure he can point you in the right direction, as to avoid confusion as to whom is looking at what and saving what info to disc for the board membership in general.
Larry Bart is now onboard as the Senior Archivist..
Thanks again Larry..
Best Regards
John
