Dear Moderator,
I have had some time to think on this and I guess it has really been eating me up. I in no way meant to mislead, trick or scam anyone and feel that these postings have been unfair judgment against Crazy Horse Customs. We are an honest and reputable company run by good people who are only following our dream. For example, I walked away from a long-time tech consulting career to help open this company. We do it because we have a passion for building these bikes. We are not trying to hurt anyone - not for any reason. Please re-read our site and you will see that we in no way imply that these are our bikes. The top two are, and the bottom section or for example/samples only. Is there anything we can do to get these posts removed as I am sure it will do damage to our reputation in the XS650 community?
Thank you in advance for your help with this matter.

Are you on Crack or something? I served my country proudly and I don't ever recall seeing the American Star emblem painted on a Jap motorcycle during World War II.Years of time may have past but the visions of the horrifying barbaric acts that cost thousands of Ameriocan Soldiers lives will always haunt my blood with revenge. Either paint the Rising Sun or get a Harley................Jack

Robert...Your site navigation and text concerning your builds and the other machines you have posts pics of, is pure confusion at best. IF you alter the text on your site and make it very clear that the machines you did not build, are in fact, NOT a product of yours..I will remove all reference to your site from this thread..
Fair enough?
I further think you ought to give the builders of those machines full credit for their efforts and list their names with their bikes, instead of using them as "examples" of what you say you can produce, if customers happen to like what they see in other peoples builds.
This is NOT going to turn in a flame fest...I feel you have an obligation to help clear the air and the evident confusion on what machines you have built, and the XS based machines other people have built, that you chose to use an idea or sampling spring-board.

Hello John,
Thank you for allowing us to rectify this matter.
We have updated our website and actually placed the example motorcycles on their own page with a notation above the link underlined that states "These are not Crazy Horse builds".
Though on the page with the bikes, we do need to research who the owners are before we are able to post them. I do agree that they should get credit for their works.
We sincerely appreciate your help and cooperation.
Thank you, Robert K. CrazyHorseCustoms.com

Done deal...I deleted a few posts in the thread as I said I would. Please do make efforts to give those owner/builders credit for their talent. Several of those machines are super clean builds with a good deal of thought involved in their creation process.
Regards
John

Has anyone ever used a Fat Bobtank for the XS650? Is it sort of redundant to have another oil reservoir in the tank? Is there an easy way to switch it so that the oil is stored in tank instead or would this be just asking for problems?

What oil reservoir? XS650 is wet sump... Oops, I guess I asked a stupid question. Sorry, I'm not too familiar with old bikes or even carburators because my bikes have been 2003 & 2005 & fuel injected. I usually put the oil in a reservoir located under my engine in my Ducati. I liked the Fat Bob tank & asked someone who told me the 2nd hole in the Fat Bob tank was for the oil, so I assumed I would have re-route the oil from somewhere else because the XS650 tank had only 1 hole in the tank. OK, I had to look it up: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wet_sump

Well, I have the custom frame on ordered now. The NJ DMV is confusing the hell out of me. I asked the lady at DMV ( BTW NJ has the meanest people working at DMV) if I need to re-title if I get a new frame & she said NO. I called the NJ DMV and then they say I do need to re-title if I change the frame. I couldn't find anything on the website about changing frames because I was wondering if there is a difference between rebuilt or custom title. The builder told me not to worry about it, and he has customers that don't re-title after they change the frame. Am I looking for trouble if I don't re-title?
The bike came from Florida with mileage exempt title, but the NJ DMV wouldn't except that & said I needed a mileage. I put in 99,999 because I figure that would be safe bet & probabaly wouldn't be more than that. Now the builders showed me the inside of engine is all rusted so I will probably have to replace a lot of stuff. I see some bikes on ebay that say something like 0 miles since rebuild. Does anyone know what I need to replace for the engine to be considered rebuilt so I can list the miles at zero?

I'd also think they consider dropping a couple of nukes on cities populated by citizens pretty barbaric too.

A long time ago I used to wonder why we dropped two A-Bombs on Japan, seems like one would have given the message. Then I learned about Battan and was sorry that the Japenese gave up before we could drop a couple more. "Barbaric" doesn't come close to the Japanese treatment of our soldiers.
Ok, that was a long time ago, but before you start labling American actions in WWII as "barbaric" you might want to actually get your head out of your a$$ and read a little history.
