G'Day, The right side inidcator on my '79 Special, either blinks very fast and weak, or not at all at speeds over about 50 km/h. Below that speed it works fine. I've looked for a loose wire that the wind could be affecting but I can't find any poor connections in the wiring loom. Could this be a faulty self cancelling unit? Any suggestions? Pete

Check the flasher, connections, bulbs & sockets, and most important all grounds. Hope this helps. Make sure the battery and charging system are in good working order. Rod

I would suspect a poor ground to either the right front or rear lamp. You can see the front one, and have someone follow you and check the rear. It is not impossible for a bulb to do this as well but not too common. When the flasher goes fast, it is a sign that the current draw has dropped, so a bulb is usually not flashing.
