I am thinking of replacing the tail light on my 82' heritage and I was just wondering if anybody has any preferances or even anything I should stay away from. I checked out mikes xs but I would like to have some other posible options to choose from. I found a sweet light on an junk 58' chevy work truck that had a bulb for the brake and a seperate bulb to light the license plate. Should I go with the freebie or spend some coin and get somthing else?

I have the small Lucas type on my 81, I think that's nice and clean and lowers electrical usage. Mine was raw aluminum, not chrome plated, which I prefer. You probably want something with a rubber gasket or pad between the light and fender. Other than that it depends on what look you prefer, I guess. The truck light would probably be cool on a bobber style bike.

Trailer shops have several different lights...I've seen some interesting lights on boats that could find it's way on a bike...I've seen those small light bars..about 4 inchs long...looks like little reds dots that flash went braked....perhaps build a container..box...with...3 of these lights bars to fill the cavity under the grab bar.
