Gerald, I shitcanned my stock headlight bucket and bulb and replaced it with a "Bates" type 5-3/4 inch bucket and I found that a H5006 hi lo sealed beam (Sylvania, I think) fits it nicely. The H5006 was purchased at our local Autozone for 5 bucks. The Bates you can find all over the web, cheap. I set this up on my 77D, it's much brighter than stock. Obviously you won't illuminate an entire football field with it, but it is brighter than stock. Your only drawback is that your wiring is stock. Mine is a chopper setup. i.e. no rats nest to deal with anymore. I drewup a simple schematic for mine. I will post it here if anyone is interested. It also has a simple turn signal setup for those states where they are needed to keep the scooter legal.

Ratledge, since you are in the motion picture field perhaps you can rig up one of those 1000 watt tungsten stage lights...maybe something from the StarWars set? he he he

definitley post your schematic...I would be interested in seeing what you kept, but mainly interested in your simplified turn signal wiring.

I just saw a great idea on one of my friends gsxr 600. It's his stunt bike and whenever he would go over and hit the fairing the headlight lense would crack. So he got a foglight out of the reject bin from the cadillac cien concept car. it puts out huge amounts of lights and is extremely small. My idea is to use two 25W halogen foglights. 1 on for low beam, both for high beam. Should be cheap and look very trick.
