A thought for the future.... As an extension of the "electonic campfire" concept, some boards allow pictures of their members/bikes to be posted to the gallery portion of their sites. In order to preserve the privacy of their members, their screen names can be used, or by members consent, their actual names.
As I've posted before, I've been a member of the IBMWR board before and they list themselves as "Presidents" of the group, and make it a point to meet each other at BMW rallies, their own IBMWR events, etc. without going overboard, and the pictures help to spur relationship building. ("Gee boss, I HAVE to attend this event; you see, I'm the President of the club.") See link for example

We probably aren't set up for this yet, but putting a name to a face (remember the porting thread by Jack and Bobby?) sometimes helps to emphasize that we're all on the same team, at least in as far as XS650's go. FWIW.
