Im new to this site and have some pics of a chopper project im building ,how do i post them?

in the bottom left of the reply window click on browse
pick pic from your files
click host it [ may take 30sec on fast connection]
copy & paste thumb nail for forums


I registered w/ image shack & have a stash of pics for whatever

HI New to this site as well, I can,t figure out how to post anything, much less pictures. I know this isn't anyones problem but mine and sure could use some help. Beemerboy

This is the screen you will see. Select browse and find you photo. Once photo is selected click host it. The image will upload to image shack. Click the button on left that says full image. and scroll down to add to post. that is it.

Thanx for a really nice forum. I just joined today as a new member after some years as just a forum reader.

As the two other guys here I can't figure out how to add a picture to my profile (just underneath the profilenick).

Tried to "Host it" and registere at Image Shack and all the things told above, but with no luck. One more guide on how-to needed

I also post a bunch of pics - but I use photobucket. I upload the pics to photobucket (650 pixels max width, please - it just takes way to long for the forum to reduce the size if it's any bigger than that), then there is 2 ways to add it to your post....

If you use "quick reply" - then photobucket has several options to share each picture - chose the IMG code option and it will automatically copy the code to your clipboard so you can paste it into your reply - it will look something like this but without the spaces [_I_M_G_]http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g218/coolpoolnorm/Motorcycles%20and%20Parts/Motorcycle3T.jpg[_/_I_M_G_]. When you post your reply - it should show the picture at that web location.... in this case it's a pic of me on my bike. (you can copy and paste it into your browser, to see if you want).

If you already know the web location - you can also type in {img}(then paste the web location here){/img} except use square brackets [ and ] instead of the { and } (yeah - I had to do that or it confuses the computer).

If you're just using the regular reply (not the "Quick Reply" option), look in the "add tags" window, and you'll see several icons there. One looks like a photo - click on it and it puts [/img]into your posting - and you just paste the web address of your photo between them, and your photo should appear when you post your reply, or preview it.

There's similar ones for putting web links, Youtube Videos, tables, quotes, etc.

Please keep your pics to 650 pixels wide or less. The board will shrink them to fit, but it takes a while, and limits how many posts you can see.
