Hi there,
first of all thanks for continueing the old board that was given up a while ago.
A suggestion from me would be to have a website next to the board with general info on the XS and pictures from members XS'. Maybe some people, including me, would like to write about tech stuff, gather info (types, specs, parts, internet links etccc) and publish it. You only need webspace and someone who can build internet pages.

Hey Bertus,
Welcome to the temp board and thanks for the kind words..If you'll read some of the older posts in this catagory, you'll find what is going on and planned/in the works for the permenant XS-650 GarageUSA.com site.. I have the domain name registered, and we are using the original logo from last year. I had a deal with a hosting company for server space, but withdrew from that contract due to their pricing policy for additional space if and when the server space that was included in the original contract was exceded...It was discovered that they wanted way too much money for the additional space when compared to some other hosts...So the search continues..I guess I am a little gun shy, due to the fact the old board crashed so many times it was beyond reasonable.. [Quick note here, and just for the sake of clarity for all the new members], ALL the problems with the old board/site administration was beyond mine and Bob_Dammits control, as we did not have anthing to do with the set-up or adminstration of the old board.. We started this whole new thing to provide a stable platform for the original group of members who supported the old board through it all.. So, since I am paying the intial start-up costs for the new site, out of my own pocket, and doing the web page set-up/building, I am trying my damn best to make sure that we as a group get the most we can out the money I'm willing to spend and that we [as a group] will probably be paying in hosting fees as the site/board moves forward and grows...
As far as Tech info goes,
There is always room for more tech info, and it is generious for you to offer to help out.. We have some highly skilled and experienced XS-650 personal here who have proven themselves over the last 2-3 years on the XS650 board..These guys have given freely from their personal time and shared their hard earned knowledge, helping countless people get or keep their XS-650s on the road. FWIW..I feel these guys have all earned their " Senior Technical Advisor" positions and I'm thankful that each one accepted the title. A better group of people would be hard to find.
Stick around, Regards
John

Guys, I'm just a new guy learning my way around the board. I don't know anything about the old board, but this one is pretty nice and I'm liking it. I've already picked up a few tips on my XS650. Thanks John and Bob_Dammit!

Just wanted to compliment everyone on this board.
I followed a link on another site I just found about the xs650. Apparently that other site isn't very active so I decided to register here.
