Greg, I plan on being there Saturday a.m. if my bike will cooperate ( or if not by truck then). I have just found out that the show will be at the Georgia World Congress Center and not the Cobb Galleria like years prior. The GWCC is smack-dab in the middle of Atlanta and they will charge you 5 bucks to park. I am mainly bummed because I got permission from the Yamaha Southeastern Regional Headquarters to bring any 650 Garage members by for a photo shoot and tour of the facility. That is if there were going to be more than just me. The HQ is about 18 to 20 miles or so North of the GWCC. They have shin digs for the Star folks and the Yamaha boat owners and fisherman and are currently interested in working with a vintage japanese bike show to be held at their facility. Cool stuff all-in-all. Anyways I look forward to seeing anybody at the show and hope that all have a safe trip in the ATL.

Joel, That's very interesting. I'd like to talk to you about this soon. With the Dogwood rally coming up in April this could be something to look into since a good number of 650 owners will be in N. Ga. Greg

Hey Greg, Sorry but I have been away for awhile. I don't know how to private message on this thing, so you tell me how and we'll get in touch. Maybe the rally you metioned might be a better gathering time for everyone for a photo op. The facility is a distribution center for Yamaha but they have all manner of stuff in the lobby and the most bitchin' place to take group photos. I have seen bar-b-ques there in the past for the boat owners but I have never stopped in. The gentleman I talked to sounded really hip on the idea of us stopping by and them doing what they could for us depending on group size. This could go from a tour of the facility to a cookout to dancing Hula girls! Sorry. that last one was my idea.
Well let me know how to get in touch with you and we will see what we can get going.
p.s. by the way my real name is Dave Morgan.

$5 bucks to park in downtown Atlanta!? I wish! Our show is at the I-X center. It's an old Tank plant (yes, the military type) right next to the airport, huge parking lot just for the center. $8 to park + $12 to get in! Because of the location you CAN'T park anywhere else. But they do give a discount for motorcycle parking... it's only $4, but considering it's the end of January in Cleveland, not much hope of riding to it.

Yea... 5 bucks sounds good but where they usually have the show it was FREE so five bucks kinda sucks.... Hey I'm a poet and don't even know it. Besides the parking in downtown is usually on the side of some crack house if the lots are full, which they usually are so it's kind of a crap shoot I feel.

$5.00? The Toronto bike show is like $20.00 plus parking downtown is another $10.00 for sure. $5.00 sounds like a bargan to me. Art in Peterborough

The postcard I got in the mail shows $4 and $5 parking. Also, the Supercross is Saturday night. Upper level tickets are only $10 and I've already ordered mine. John

Hey John, GDJohnson and myself are meeting up Saturday a.m. for the bike show and my brother-in-law another frien and I have tickets for the race. Maybe we could get together for the bike show and race. We got some good tickets for Christmas but we usually by GA and then make our way to the good seats. Two guys in, one back out with the tickets and fetch the other guy type of thing. I know, it's cheating but they will more than make up the difference on my consumption of overpriced adult beverages.

I'm not sure when we'll go to the show. I'm afraid if we go too early, there will be a lot of hours to kill. I have to do some tool business while I'm there. Ever been to Redmond Machinery? Anyway, I would enjoy meeting you guys. We have cheap seats for the race. I'll PM you my cell number later, and hopefully I'll know what/when we're coming down. Maybe Friday-maybe not until Saturday morning. John
