20th Year..Labor Day weekend, Westby Wis..(about 30 miles S of LaCross)...call the Old Town Inn...40-50 people....most do not ride their 650...OUTSTANDING roads....this year a paddle wheel ride..and a trip to Spook Cave...dinner..awards given...evening BS in the hotel parking lot about why they couldn't ride their 650...this year...Mike, MN

I've never been to one of the rallys if a person was to go for a day what would be the best day? Also I just got my 1976 xs650 this summer I'm still in the process of restoration it's allright to come to the ralley on my Goldwing isn't it? Thanks. Jimmy Joe

...sunday....stay for the awards dinner in the evening......they don't care what ya ride...just ride. Be at the north end of Westby Wis...Express Resturant before 8:30 AM for the ride departures......Mike, MN

WILDCAT weekend reminder..if you're near just stop by...Westby Wis., south end of town at the Old Town Inn (east side of the road) BS sessions after dinner each sat and sun evening...rides during the day....Mike, MN

UPDATE: They had I believe, 42 people....10 650s'....a fresh (resto) 71 XS1B...a sharp 72 XS2...various other makes..a couple of Wisconsin Irons, BMW...the weather on saturday stunning..roads OUTSTANDING ! ! !..Sunday a brift shower...Two bikes (a couple on a Venture and a solo rider on a Virago) "departed the road"...tore up some guys lawn.."We were so close I could have rang the door bell"...the couple rode it out...the solo crashed..busted up his bike and six ribs. The BS in the evenings was pretty deep....next year I'll need taller boots..Mike, MN

UPDATE: Again WildCat Labor Dat weekend. Visit Wildcat Mountain Rally on the web for added info and posted routes for this years rides. I believe the Old Town Inn is booked but the Central Express in Westby did have a few rooms left. Mike, MN

We lined up all the "girls" and got some pictures Sunday afternoon. There was one missing that had left- an '82 bobber, I think, belonging to Don650. I hope we have a 650 only ride next year, if only to get a photo op somewhere other than the parking lot! Another great year at the Wildcat! If you haven't ridden the roads in this area of Wisconsin, you've missed it!   Can't wait until next year! Cafefill |
