Hi all, about to take my cylinder head off this weekend, already got the cover off of it. Having never rebuilt an engine before, I'm in totally unfamiliar territory now.
With regard to the valve springs, do I need the particular tool that MikesXS sells for $35 or would a generic auto-parts-store vlave spring compressor get the job done? Better yet, any way to improvise something?
Thanks for any suggestions, Pol

Sears sells a valve compressor that works great. I think you can get it for ~$20.

Wow, thanks for that!
My main concern was that there's something non-stanard enough about the 650's engine design to require a something special, but sounds like that's no problem.
15 minutes from stumped to having-a-plan!
Much appreciated, Pol
