Are you going to bend up your own exhaust for the bike you're building? I saw a chopped 650 in Milwaukee at the world of wheels. Looked pretty nice. Anyone on the forum own it? We'll have to get together for brats and beer, soon as cruiser invites us over.

I was planning on making my own pipes. The only thing I am using off the old bike is the wheels and engine. Mostly to see if I can do it, the other reason is because I cant afford anyone else to do it and cant buy the parts. So I am making it all from scratch. At this point I just hope it rolls straight. Hi everyone,
Just an idea for pipe bending method. I have been told by someone a way to bend a pipe with minimum wrinkle at the bends (wrinkle is bad cause it restricts flow). The cheap way to do it is to fill in the pipe at both ends with sands until it's really full, seal both ends by closing it with a piece of metal and weld them really good so the sands won't come out. Now you can bend it without actually folding them. Hope this info might be usefull for you.

Sorry guys, when i posted mine I didn't look for the first page, I was hoping that I would look smart by posting the sand technique. I guess its the other way around now. Do I look like a dork now? heheheh

Once ya grow out the Dork Stage you'll become a full fledged member at the Garage ;D and you'll blend right in I like the looks of the pre cut mandrel radius tubing with welded sections, gives it a custom look.....Jack

Truff1, as someone who's worked in art-metals in the past may I say :: NICE WORK!
I'm in Ft. Atkinson, I might call on you for a couple small projects in the future.
Cheers, - JJ
